VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)—91直播视频 Department of Business

The VITA program consists of IRS-certified 91直播视频 students providing free tax preparation services to individual and families with total income of less than $54,000. 91直播视频 students from the Department of Business, with faculty supervision, will prepare local families’ and individual federal, state and local income tax returns free of charge.

For the 2017 tax season, 19 91直播视频 students prepared federal, state and local tax returns for 211 taxpayers, which generated over $128,000 in refunds. 

Partner Wellness Centers — 91直播视频 Department of Nursing

The Wellness Centers are nurse-managed practices operated in partnership with the 91直播视频 Department of Nursing and local community agencies to supplement existing primary care services in the community. Emphasis is placed on health promotion, disease and injury prevention, risk reduction education and chronic illness monitoring.  91直播视频 nursing students assist residents with comfort measures for pain management techniques, blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, medication management, health and safety screenings, proper diet choices and heart smart nutrition and healthy goal setting.
